Victoria Secret effects women especially teenagers. They make teenagers want to try to fit in exotic sexy lingerie. They are very big on women and teens because of sex appeal.
Southpoles is a big deal to teenagers of both sex. Their clothing, style and shoes draws teenagers attention just like any other shoe brand.
4) Cool Hunters are people who are around selling and making millions off of people espcially teens. In my opinion I think it is the same kind of style that is out there just intereptated differently such as color or combinations of color and detail.
5) Cool Merchants of the cool are right. Teens listen to everything they like and want to hear. We are always trying to follow the style in our generation. For example: music, the radio. What we listen to on the radio is what is new and what is cool. As years go bye and new music is always made, not even thinking about the old music. To teenagers an old song is at least three to four years old. It is not yet brought up again until played on the radio or by peers.
6) Yes, I think we are manipulated by brands. For example, on commercials we are educated by style. If there is a new type of PC, cell phone, IPod or nano; we are hooked. We want it so much because its new and cool. And if you have it, our peers will think wow their lucky or rich or even cool.
7) Some examples, I think companies go after teens are through Proactive
and xbox. In my opinion Proactiv is one of the biggest companies that are after teenagers. Teenagers tend to buy this product because of acne when in reality it is just about going up. As xbox is another company that gets teenagers even adults emune to the game system that they can even be social and talk to who they are playing with online.
8) After watching these videos, it has showed me how our world is always falling in advertisment. Also how teenagers are effected and always trying to look or be cool. Personally, this information didn't change me at all. I am a teenager and its kind of like a universal theme. It is always and will always be true.
